Exploring the vast snowy region of the Hebra Mountains in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leads to many hidden secrets and rewarding quests. Among these side quests, discovering the Treasure of the Secret Springs requires solving an intriguing environmental riddle tied to three distinct hot springs. This guide provides a straightforward breakdown to help you locate the hidden cavern, solve the water flow puzzle, and claim your valuable reward.

Starting the Quest and Decoding the Riddle

To begin this quest, speak with Tulin at Rito Village after completing his main story line. He will share a riddle about a hidden treasure sleeping in the center of three secret hot springs located in the surrounding cold mountains. The riddle instructs players to guide the three waters to one central point to awaken the slumbering prize.

Understanding the riddle requires examining your map to identify the Sturnida, Goflam, and Sherfin secret hot springs in the Hebra region. The central point between these three landmarks leads directly to the North Biron Snowshelf area. Navigating to this coordinate brings you to a massive ice block blocking a subterranean entrance.

Unlocking the North Biron Snowshelf Cave

Reaching the cave entrance requires melting the giant block of ice using fire sources such as a Ruby-fused weapon, fire fruit, or a campfire. Once melted, jump down the opening and smash through the cracked rock barrier blocking the central chamber. Inside, you will find a large room with a central updraft gusting upward from a grate in the floor.

Using the rising air vent allows Link to deploy his paraglider and reach high vantage points along the cavern walls. Surrounding the upper perimeter of the chamber are several fragile rock walls holding back natural hot spring water. Identifying the correct rock formations is key to completing the puzzle efficiently.

Diverting the Spring Waterways

Aim your bow at the cracked rock barriers and attach Bomb Flowers to shatter the stone obstacles. Destroying the correct rock walls allows three separate streams of warm spring water to flood down into the main chamber. As the water fills the lower basin, a cutscene triggers showing a heavy stone statue sliding open.

Behind the moved statue sits a hidden passage that leads to a small treasure room. Head through the newly opened doorway and navigate toward the final chest resting on a dry platform. Inside the chest, you will receive the Vah Medoh Divine Helm, a special piece of headgear offering cold resistance and boosting Tulin's combat effectiveness.
